Great news, if you have a car or light van (up to 3.5 tonnes) registered on or before August 31st, 1999, then you could qualify for a scrappage allowance of £2,000.
If you qualify, the scrappage allowance will be discounted from the normal advertised price of any of our cars (or vans up to 3.5 tonnes). We have listed some of our special offers with the scrappage allowance already applied in our special offers section.

Scrappage exit phase – What you need to know
- When will the exit phase end?
The exit phase will end when the budget for the Government’s scrappage scheme runs out or at midnight on Wednesday, 31st March 2010, whichever is the sooner.
- How will the quota system work?
Each participating manufacturer will be given an allocation of remaining potential orders based on consumer demand. This will give manufacturers and consumers certainty as to how many potential scrappage orders are available to them. For information on quota availability at the manufacturer of your car of choice you can contact your local dealer.
- What brands are included?
Only Manufacturers that are signed up to the scheme – Ford are included.
The scheme applies to commercial vans (up to 3.5 tonnes) as well as cars.
- Will I be able to get the car I want?
In this final stage of the scheme there are strict order limits on manufacturers. To avoid disappointment consumers are urged to place their orders quickly, particularly if they have a specific car in mind. Your order will be taken and then confirmed within 24hrs.

- How much is the scrappage incentive?
£2,000. £1,000 from the government and £1,000 from the manufacturer and dealer.
- Is it on old cars only?
Yes, it applies to cars and commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Vehicles must have been registered on or before August 31st, 1999.
- Is it available on all models?
It is available on all Ford cars and vans below 3.5 tonnes.
- Is the incentive available on used vehicles?
It is on new vehicles only.
- Do I have to register for a voucher?
No, you can check your old vehicle is eligible using our Eligibility Criteria below. When you place a deposit we will confirm the details with you and when our Regional Delivery Centre makes the payment and collection arrangements with you they will ask you to provide the necessary documents which are - proof of identity, V5C for trade-in vehicle in the name of the buyer of the new vehicle and the current MOT certificate
- How do I claim it?
You don't need to claim it. Our delivery centre will deduct the £2,000 scrappage allowance from the vehicle price and show it on your invoice
- How do I know the prices of a vehicle with a scrappage allowance?

- Are the marketing offers the same for scrappage customers?
Yes, you benefit the same offers as those available to customers buying a car outside the scrappage scheme in addition to the £2,000 saving.
- Can I order a car now?

- Is anyone eligible?
The scheme is available to people who own cars or small vans (up to 3.5 tonnes) that were first registered in the United Kingdom on or before August 31st, 1999. The vehicle must be registered to the person making the application and this person must have been the registered keeper continuously for the preceding twelve months. The vehicle must have a current MOT test certificate and the registered keeper must have a UK address.
- Are there other benefits apart from a cheaper car?
Yes a modern car is safer and uses about 15% less fuel. It also comes with a 3 year manufacturer warranty and maintenance costs will be lower. And don't forget, you also have the pleasure of driving a brand new car.
- Am I eligible for the other offers you have on your web site as well as the scrappage allowance?

- When will I be able to purchase a vehicle with a scrappage allowance?
The scrappage scheme started on May 18th and was originally due to finish when the government funding ran out or February 28th, 2010, whichever happened first. As some funding is still available this final date has now been extended to March 31st, 2010, but may occur before then if the available funding is fully used before then. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle using the scrappage scheme it would be advisable to place an order as soon as possible to ensure you qualify for the scheme while funding is still available.
